E-Health Plus Horizon Scanning Project

eHealthPlus is a research horizon-scanning and networking project, sponsored by EPSRC. The motivating problem is: the lack of preventative and early healthcare, and the related digital challenges of providing personalised health information.The e-HealthPlus project is generating ideas and building a roadmap, to help EPSRC commission research, which can meet the digital challenges of earlier, more preventive, and more consumer-led health and wellbeing services.

David Wallom (University of Oxford) is Technical Manager of the Oxford e-Research Centre. He manages projects in many different areas, such as security, Low Carbon ICT, digital repositories. He is Chair of the UK e-Science Engineering Task Force, on the Board of the National Grid Service, co-chair of the Open Grid Forum Production Grid Services Research Group, and co-investigator in EU OGF-Europe project, and has advised the EU SHAPE project on e-health. He is interested in creating durable production grid or web services, reaching beyond computer science communities into healthcare.
