Workshop aim:
Identification of challenges for, and new opportunities for a digital economy in transport.
Expected outcome:
- Definition of a research agenda
- Ideas for projects
- An understanding of the state of the art in research, technology development, commercial endeavours
More specifically, in the workshop we would like to
- explore methods to assess and evaluate how recent social networking systems, web-based, ambient, mobile media sharing technologies and peer-to-peer commerce sites have emerged around transport, are being used, and are transformed through their use.
- discuss key case studies of digital media in transport
- identify challenges and opportunities for design (of technologies, services, experiences, …). These might include issues concerning copyright, ownership, privacy, trust and attribution (especially when content is created collaboratively), open innovation, new services, enhanced quality mobilities, more sustainable mobilities, …
- exchange knowledge about transport and DE
- we present examples of innovative media (a ‘technology market’)
- start to delineate scenarios
- …
